The intensity and schedule of follow-up depends on the amount of damage done to adjacent tissues before or during treatment and on whether the tumor was completely removed during surgery. • An endocrinologist will usually be involved in follow-up after surgery, since hormone deficiency (ACTH, FSH, LH, TSH, sex hormones and cortisol) may occur and replacement hormones may be needed. • Follow-up CT or MRI scans may be useful. • Hormone levels may be measured periodically if a hormone-producing tumor was treated.
